Ride-4-Fun has done the work to package wheel sets that fit perfectly and offer the tallest tire height available without any car of fender modifications. Having the tallest tire possible is key to comfort and performance. Other kits will sacrifice tire height (i.e. 205/R30 or R40 tires), in order to get the wheel set to fit - But in doing this, they give up the most important benefits of upgrading your GEM Tires and Wheels.
What to consider when planning your GEM Car Tire & Wheel Upgrade:

Tallest Tire Height Available = More Speed
Ride-4-Fun tires are 23" and are the tallest possible tire height that can fit on a stock GEM car - They can provide up to 3-5 MPH speed improvement over stock and other aftermarket wheel kits that are 20" diameter or less.

Standard Tire Profiles = Enhanced Ride Comfort
Gem Cars are not known for their "Cadilllac" or "Town Car" ride. However adding additional side wall to the tires and running the right air pressure can substantially soften the GEM Car ride. Lower profile ties, R30 or R40, may look cool, but will actually decrease side wall height and resulting in a worsened ride. High quality R60 radial tires are key to adding comfort.

Correct wheel offset = No Fender Modifications
There's very little room for guess work when looking for a wheel set that will fit perfectly under the rear GEM car fender and won't rub the front fenders when turning. There's just not that much extra room and the wheel set must be packaged by people with GEM car experience. Every ​wheel has a unique wheel set and experimenting with different wheels and spacers is costly and time consuming. An engineered GEM Car tire & wheel package is made to work with the unique spacing requirements of a GEM.
